Fernando De Noronha

Fernando de Noronha is a gloriously protected and quiet island, with some of the best snorkelling and diving sites in Latin America.
This little archipelago that rests 350km east off the Brazilian coast has warm sapphire waters throughout the year. These are home to sharks, dolphins and lots of psychedelic-coloured fish.

It is a simple island, worth visiting for its fabulous diving sites, rather than luxury beach resorts. Divers, and those seeking a relaxed and authentic Brazilian experience away from vast numbers of tourists will love this island.  If it's beaches you are after then stay at the gorgeous bohemian Uxua Casa in Trancoso.

Out and About on Fernando de Noronha

Although the main attraction of staying on this island is the marine life, a short walk around will lead you to discover the now small cotton and sugar industries that are blossoming here.

The island is simple, and although they have comfortable and well positioned lodges, they are not luxurious. The island is all about being away from hordes of tourists and enjoying its tranquillity and unspoilt dive sites.
