Paraty is a quaint and traditional UNESCO World Heritage site close to beautiful beaches and dense forests.
This charming little town that floods daily is a charming spot where you can explore the forests, soak up some Brazilian rays or wonder around the preserved historical centre.

Paraty is also a super spot to try Brazil’s famous contribution to the cocktail world, the caiprinha. Made with sugar cane rum (Cachaca), limes, ice and sugar, this zesty little drink has a refreshing kick and goes down extremely well in this hot climate.  Why not hire a villa here such as Casa Cairucu, relax, unwind and enjoy soaking up the sun and cocktails.

Out and About in Paraty

We highly recommend that you speak to your hotel reception to find out the tide times. The town floods twice daily, and you don’t want to get stuck on the wrong side of the road!

Our opinion

Paraty is picturesque spot, ideal for families and for those seeking more than just a beach. Due to its close proximity to the forest, Paraty has opportunities to go out and trek, kayak, snorkel and much more.
