Juma Lodge

Juma Lodge is a remote Amazonian Lodge built on stilts to allow for the lodge to not be completely submerged during the rainy season.

One of the closer lodges to Manaus makes this a popular choice due to the relative ease of flying into Manaus and then catching a scenic three hour boat ride to the lodge.

Juma Lodge-The Details

There are 23 simple en suite bungalows that have ceiling fans, hammocks and large mesh ventilation windows. The bungalows are constructed with wood and locally found materials.
Rooms are located to the main building via raised wooden platforms. The main area has hammocks and a small bar to relax in and this is the area where you eat, meet your guides and plan your activities

Juma Lodge- What to do

Whilst at Juma Lodge it is all about being in the Jungle and experiencing the unique flora and fauna of this area of Brazil. Typically you have a couple of excursions available to select from that might include night walks, early wildlife treks to kayaking down the Amazon river. All of the excursions vary according to the season and recent wildlife sightings.

When to go-Juma Lodge

It will be hot and humid all year round. From June to November there is less rain and it is hot. December to May there is intense rain. August and October are probably the stand out months as beaches form of the river banks
