Das Cataratas is an exclusive hotel by Belmond that is located within the National Park, giving guests unrivalled access to the falls before the day trippers arrive.
Belmond Das Cataratas is the most luxurious accommodation option located on the Brazilian side of the falls where you will get the most panoramic views of the waterfalls.
The rooms, like the hotel, are decorated with traditional colonial era furniture that adds to the grandeur of the hotel. The rooms are also modernised with all the mod cons you will require from Wi-Fi to flat screen TV’s.
The standard rooms are adequate in size for two people, but the Deluxe Falls View Rooms are our favourite if you want to splash out to get views out over the falls. For more information on the room categories please get in touch for impartial advice.
The hotel has a welcoming good sized pool in the green gardens. There are a couple of restaurants on site. There is a relaxed grill (The Ipe) and the formal restaurant (The Itaipu) - both delicious options offering a mix of Brazilian and international cuisine.
The area is all about visiting the Iguazu Falls. On the Brazilian side of the waterfalls you are rewarded with panoramic views and on the Argentinian side you can get a lot closes as you walk over the waterways. There are also local options to visit the bird park, trek in the forest, play a little golf or relax by the large pool at the hotel.
