Monteverde Lodge & Gardens is a small lodge set within a protected cloud forest reserve in the Costa Rican highlands. The style of the hotel if basic, clean, comfortable and fairly typical of all the hotel that you would find in the region.

There are 28 rooms comprising of 12 Forest View downstairs rooms, 12 Forest View Balcony rooms, and one Superior Garden View room. It is quite an informal hotel and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. All of the rooms are pleasant and act as comfortable spaces to rest your head after a day’s exploration. The hotel is mainly constructed with woods and the interior decor tends to be bright colours. The lodge has a lovely pool that is surrounded by lush forest and a wonderful butterfly garden to relax in.
Monteverde can be quite a popular destination with a variety of hotels that all have a similar style. This hotel is located away from ht e main town so that you can enjoy the setting and majestic birdlife, all within easy reach of the lodge.

The lodge offers massage treatment, hiking, ziplining, horse riding, hanging bridges tours, coffee, sugar and chocolate production tours (with sampling!), research tours in the butterfly, bat, frog and orchid exhibits and more. There are interesting day trips for all.
