Caiman Ecological Reserve

Caiman Ecological Refuge is the number one lodge in the Brazilian Southern Pantanal. The lodge is a sustainable initiative to protect the 53,000 hectares of this private ranch and the animals that live within it.

Caiman Ecological Refuge-The Details

The lodge consists of two buildings that are 25km apart; Baiazinha Lodge and Cordilheira Lodge. Baiazinha comprises of 6 double rooms and the décor is very traditional. Whereas Cordilheira has 5 suites and the style is contemporary. Both lodges have swimming pools, communal lounging areas and air conditioned rooms throughout.
Baiazinha is the lodge that they book up first with individual travellers and Cordilheira is used for small groups, generally speaking.
This remote lodge runs three and four night programs giving you time to fully explore this unique habitat. These programs are in high season (June 10th - September 9th) and are on fixed days (Thursday - Sunday and Sunday - Thursday). Outside of these months there is more flexibility on how many days you wish to stay there for.
