Hacienda Concepcion is a 45 minute boat ride from the port of Puerto Maldonado, located close to the Tambopata National Reserve. This friendly lodge is a super place at which to base yourself while your guide introduces you to the flora and fauna of the biodiverse region.

Hacienda Concepcion is a basic, rustic and simple eco-lodge situated deep in the southern Amazon, within easy walking distance of Lake Sandoval.
The lodge buildings here are all constructed with wood and have thatched roofs. Rooms are en-suite, and have large beds with mosquito nets, hammocks, little tables with lamps, and netted windows. Hacienda Concepcion has 25 rooms built from locally sourced sustainable material. There are 19 private, stand-alone cabanas that offer a little more privacy than the other six rooms which are housed in a larger complex with a thatched roof.,
The location of Hacienda Concepcion is superb - it is right on the edge of a lake, providing great wildlife viewing. Whilst here all of your meals, excursions and transfers are included as part of the package. The guiding is very good as the naturalist guides are experts in their field. The food is good; it is basic, but good quality and fresh considering that you are in the middle of the Peruvian jungle.
