Alvear Palace - The Details

The prestigious Alvear Palace originally opened in the 1930’s, and protects a fierce reputation as being the best hotel in Buenos Aires. It is a fantastic hotel; well located and appeals to many.

The Alvear Palace is a traditional option with a Belle Epoque interior. Many of the rooms have recently undergone a refurb and modernisation, yet their style and charm remains and the sense of elegance and grandeur prevails. There are almost 200 rooms with Empire and Louis XV1 furniture, original art works, designer soaps and all the mod-cons you will ever need.

Alvear Palace- The Food

The food here is delicious. The elegant restaurants and mouth-watering buffet brunches have a cult following as they offer a range of locally sourced traditional delicacies that you can tuck into whilst perusing the morning papers. On a Sunday morning this is very much the place to be spotted. The La Bourgogne restaurant at the Alvear Palace has a French inspired menu. There is also a cigar and liquor bar.

There is a fairly new rooftop pool and bar with panoramic views over the Paris of the South. Also on the roof, there is a sumptuous spa with an extensive menu from which to select the pampering of your choice.
