Aguape Lodge is a small family owned and run lodge located on the shore of a lagoon in the Ibera wetlands. This traditional home is a relaxing base from which to explore the area of Argentina with the largest concentration of wildlife- the Ibera Wetlands.
The lodge is a simple, yet comfortable base base from which to explore the biodiverse Ibera wetlands. The lodge has a traditional and rustic feel. The 12 rooms are all comfortable with air conditioning to fight off the humidity of the region. The standard rooms a re a little small and we advise opting got a superior room as they are substantially larger and represent geater value for money. The hotel has a small pool, comfortable rooms and a private jetty which makes exploring the wetlands easy and convenient as you depart and return to the lodge.
Ibera Wetlands Activities
From your lodge you can take to the waterways spotting wildlife on the banks of the river and in this unique habitat that surrounds the lodge. Some opt to take to the waterways in canoe in search for soem of the 360 species of birds that call the wetlands home. You may also spot caiman, pampas deer, moneys and much more. If canoeing is not your thing then take a safari like drive in a 4 x 4, swim through the waters being dragged by horses or don your hiking boots and go explore.
